“Jesus Revolution” is a Christian movie based on the true story of pastor Greg Laurie. The movie came out in theaters February 24, but some viewers would rather stream it. Where and when does “Jesus Revolution” start streaming?
Jesus Revolution Cast and Story
“Jesus Revolution” has a notable cast, which includes Kelsey Grammer as Chuck Smith. Jonathan Roumie also stars in the Christian movie as Lonnie Frisbee. Roumie rose to fame due to his portrayal of Jesus in the “Chosen” series. Joel Courtney plays a young Greg Laurie.
The movie is set in the 1970s. It tells the story of how a teenaged Laurie “searches for all the right things in all the wrong places until he meets Lonnie Frisbee, a charismatic hippie/street preacher,” according to a movie description. “Together with local pastor Chuck Smith, they open the doors of a languishing church to an unexpected revival.”
How to Watch / Stream It
Some distributors release new movies both in theaters and via streaming at the same time. Unfortunately, Lionsgate has only released “Jesus Revolution” in theaters. When will the movie start streaming, and where?
You can watch “Jesus Revolution” via streaming likely in about three months, beginning in May or June. However, this is just a guess, based on the usual release time for a movie to go from the theater to digital and streaming.
You can still watch it in theaters — find showtimes at a movie theater near you via Fandango.

True Story Based on a Book
We mentioned that “Jesus Revolution” is based on a true story, concerning Harvest Christian Fellowship pastor Greg Laurie. Laurie first shared his story in a documentary called “What Hath God Wrought?” The movie was available to watch on Prime Movie, but not currently.
Laurie later wrote the book that likely inspired the movie, which shares the same title. The paperback book was released in early February and became a bestseller. Reading the book could be a good way to kill time while waiting for the movie to stream.
