The ‘Left Behind’ Franchise
The movie started playing in select theaters across the U.S. in January. Based on verified reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, it has been well-received.
Filmmakers describe “Rise of the Antichrist” as “an updated storyline” and a “sequel” to Nicolas Cage’s 2014 version. The original book-to-film version was released in 2000 and starred Kirk Cameron. However, Cage’s “Left Behind” reportedly made more than $27 million at the box office — about six times more than the Cameron project.

‘Rise of the Antichrist’ Plot
Kevin Sorbo carries the “Rise of the Antichrist” movie as the lead Rayford Steele. He also directed the movie. “Rise of the Antichrist” reflects the original storyline from the popular book series. In this version, Buck Williams (Greg Perrow) is a dogged reporter who suspects corruption at the highest levels. Through his relationship with a skeptical Chloe Steele (Sarah Fisher) he discovers the truth about the apocalyptic events impacting the world.
