“Praise This” is a new Peacock original movie releasing on April 7, which happens to be Good Friday. The “musical event,” starring Chloe Bailey, is about how an aspiring superstar helps an underdog praise team overcome a competition.
‘Praise This’ Story
According to Peacock: The movie follows aspiring musical superstar Sam, a young woman driven to break into the music business. So, when her father moves them from Los Angeles to Atlanta to live with Sam’s sunny cousin, Jess, Sam is …not happy.
But when Sam is forced to join her cousin’s struggling, underdog praise team, she sees an opportunity to finally make her dreams come true. What she discovers, though, is that ambition can command a high price and that praise is not about glory.
‘Praise This’ Cast
The film stars Chlöe Bailey, Anjelika Washington, Tristan Mack Wilds, Quavo, Birgundi Baker, Crystal Renee Hayslett, Loren Lott, Jekalyn Carr, Koryn Hawthorne, and Drew “Druski” Desbordes.
The movie is directed by Tina Gordon, known for “Little” and “Drumline,” among other projects. The movie was executive produced by Johanna Byer.
Release Date & How to Watch
As mentioned, “Praise This” release date is Friday, April 7 on Peacock. You will need a Peacock account to watch the movie. Peacock plans start at $4.99 a month. The streaming service does not currently offer a 7-day free trial period or a free tier.
However, it does note that those who have a Peacock account but no paid plan, “can watch a limited amount of content for free.” It is unclear if Chloe Bailey’s new movie will be available to Peacock account holders without a paid plan.
